Okay, so dude man! Awesome news :D This year proves to be a year of concert dreams :) (At least in terms of bands I've wanted to see in a long time).
I have waited 5 years for Radiohead (they're coming August 6 - Jean Drapeau)
And now, I find out that Sigur Ros (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) is coming September 20 - Quai Jacques Cartier. I have waited for them for 3.5 years and just absolutely love them.
In addition, Mogwai is coming September 23. I've seen them twice before...but they're really a pleasure to see. So I'm thinking of hitting that up.
And last but not least, Coldplay is coming July 29. :o This will probably be the most expensive of the lot. But it's ok. The last time I saw them, they were amazing and I really enjoyed it.
The new Sigur Ros album is með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (comes out June 23) and it means "with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly". So far, my favorite song from there is track 2 - inní mér syngur vitleysingur" ("within me a lunatic sings"). It's soooo cheerful. The build up and everything just swells your heart. Overall, the feel of the cd is different from their previous efforts, but in no way is it subpar. I cannot say which album is my favorite, because I think I like them all equally for different things. But, I'd say that this album suits my current mood :).
